Fundamental Particle Physics Research through the ATLAS Experiment at CERN:
● Current Areas of ATLAS Research:
▫ Measurement of production cross sections for rare processes featuring top quark signatures
▫ Development of reconstruction techniques for top quarks (in various decay channels)

● Previous Areas of ATLAS Research:
▫ Physics simulation studies for proposed Forward Calorimeter (FCal) detector upgrades
▫ Simulated pile-up suppression studies in the forward region with future (~2024) conditions
▫ Hadronic End-Cap (HEC) calorimeter software maintenance and development

● Tools & Experience:
▫ Statistical data analysis (C/C++/python including grid computing)
▫ Software for SCADA systems (panels / scripts / alarms / monitoring using Siemens WinCC-OA)

Ph.D. Research and Experimental Work [2011 - 2015]

  • Acted as the primary analyzer in a precision top quark mass measurement in the all-hadronic top quark pair decay channel using 8 TeV ATLAS proton-proton collision data

  • Involvement in ATLAS online trigger software validation and Liquid Argon (LAr) data quality
